Lots of nice early car photos on this site. Here's a few:

And how could I forget this one from 1969 - the awesome 906 under full acceleration!

Look at the size of these things relative to the Corvettes:

And this is described as the "Keil Porsche"

Hell, look at the corner workers. I used to do that when my friend would run dirt track at county fairgrounds. Man, I don't know how I lived to get this old.

I LOVE the "Pit Stop" picture, Kurt!

Reminds me of the good old present!

Great pics. Makes me think of that time as a "golden age of grassroots racing." Feels like anyone with the means could have gotten a car and try their hand at racing. In Porsches, no less.

I think *any* of the vintage pics (including ads) and the "out of shape" pics have been some of my favorite threads. Ranked just slightly higher than the "airborne cars" thread.

Thanks.

Thanks Curt.

I once read/heard someone say that the 906's and 910's really only have one side -- the top. In real life (ie. while not lying flat on your stomach) the only side of the car that you ever see is the top side.

great pics Curt,

Interesting how so many cars are running an ST style rear flare with a narrow front end. Only that #1 yellow 911S had the front ones.

I like that green 911. My targa was originally purchased at Triangle Porsche Audi. Of course, VIR is only an hour away from that location.

I like this one from the 73 SCCA nationals.

Love that tow vehicle.

who's the beautiful woman in the "communications tower" 911 picture? I'd consider her gorgeous even in this day and age!
