0.19 amps on #4 normal? - doors, hood closed

Pelicans,

modded 930 (it's the modded part that's probably at the root of this evil...)

With the hood and doors closed, the glovebox light turned off, no clock and the radio on a seperate circuit, I'm still drawing 0.19 Amps on the #4 fuse.

Is this normal? I would have thought that this circuit would go to Zero in this state.

What else could be connected to this line?

Regards,

Lomotpk
P.S. The modded comment refers to alot of 'creative' electical work done by PO's

some pros say .045ma-.060ma total draw at the battery should be max. I'd open up the harness and search. If a relay is somewhere on this circuit consider the possibility of a bad relay also.

Shouldn't be anything if that's the fuse I think it is (Left side parking lights and engine compartment light). Does the car have an aftermarket alarm? Check for any non-factory wires attached to the fuse.

Porsche Crest

What year chassis is it?

Does it have the factory alarm option?

84 Chassis 930
No alarm from what I can tell.
There is only one, small gauge black wire coming off the #4 fuse.

On the card #4 is for "Interior lights, radio, clock"

Actually .045amps-.060amps is the same as 45-60mA and 0.19 amps is the same as 190mA.

So 190mA is way over what you need to be seeing of 45-60mA.

Point of reference....stock 85 Carrera standby loss ( clock)...15-17 mA

Later 964's go up to about 64 mA...most then require a chipped trickle charger to avoid a flat battery.

Common convention is anything over 100mA is prolly too high... start checking.
