what are the correct fog lamps to mount?

On my 81'911SC I would like to mount the correct fog lamps.

The current aftermarket Bosch lamps hang down too much. I've seen lamps in pictures that stick straight out. What kind are they?

Also, with a dark blue car, should I go for amber or clear?

Mike, i can't tell from the picture, but they look like the original equipmt fog lights. Fog lights are supposed to be as low as possible, unlike driving lights. if you want them to be up higher, perhaps you can slightly modify the brackets.

It's a bit hard to tell from just a picture, but the ones on your targa look VERY much like the factory originals on my '78 SC.

I disagree. I think they look aftermarket. On the stock SC ones the light bulb is basically even with the mounting hole in the valance in height. If I were you, I would just buy a used set of SC fogs off of the parts for sale and wanted section of this board. post a wanted ad if you have to. Shouldn't cost too much. I guess I should sell mine since they are off the car and I never use them, but I want to be able to put the car back to perfectly original so I guess I'll save them.

Get the factory Bosch fogs. They're available from our host and will look right. I'd stick with the clear lenses myself.
