But at least you could see and hear your car drive off for the last time and wave goodbye as you run behind it.

RoninLB is it a silent alert, or could it be set up that way? I figure it would let you know if some was stealing parts or if it was being towed away. I am sure most of you have kill switches so no one would be able to steal it in a matter of seconds.

it can be set up as a beep or silent vibration alert. I wear it in a shirt pocket or hanging from a T-shirt because the max volume is very low relative to in-store noise. I have the Viper unit. I looked into using it as a trigger to a another long distance routine pager and it can be done. I never followed thru on it, so I stay close a large store window, etc. I did my own little testing to see what I'm dealing with.
