Sparco Fighter. It is a "street" seat, in that it is bottom mount, but it is the same style as the Evo. The only other difference is that it has extra abrasion-resistant material on the edges.

It also appears to be a bit less money too. Which is a good thing.

Might as well recall the Duck
I think it looks pretty good on that 87 that's for sale in the classifieds.

Is it at TRE right now? I might have to stop by

Nice job! Have you tested the lowered seat yet? If so, do you find that you can see the gauges a little better? How big can you go on the rear sways before needing the reinforced mount?

I haven't tested the final mount yet. It is kinda weird sitting so low, but what are you gonna do? Plus I can always spacer up, but can't spacer down, so better to err on the side of more headroom. If I had it to do over again I'd get a non-sunroof coupe...

From what I understand even stock sways should get reinforced as the factory mount is notorious for breaking. You can either buy a stronger mount and grind off the old one, or do as Tyson did here and weld on a reinforcement plate.

Todd, when you gonna spring for the $500 paint job for the helmet? I had mine reenforced as well, here is some of JWs handy work.

Well Todd, I just got home. I stayed late to finish the seat install.

Everything's done except the harness bar and 5-point belts, but that's the easy stuff. I took her for a spin around the block. The seat feels fantastic, and the sways are awesome. You're going to have a big grin on your face at the next track event!

Tyson, you da man. I hope some of the Bass were put to use (well, after the spin around the block).

Jack, I'm hoping to do the POC DE and maybe STS September 7/8, then OTR on the 27th (my b-day). It would be great to do something earlier, but the only things I saw were Speed Ventures at Streets. Don't know much about that group though...

HAHAHAHAHAHA it only gets steeper from here, you just went from the bunny slope to a single diamond run, double and triple diamonds ahead!!!! I think I need to look up some more prices on engine parts now, the fun never stops!! Todd, thanks for the pictures.

Very nice!

Why no sub belt hole in those seats? Can you get them with the hole? I think folks have them put in by upholsterers?

I like the reinforcement. Wonder if I can do that with my wonder welding skills. (Stevie Wonder, that is!)

Cheers, George

Speedventures is a pretty good group. I've instructed for them in the past, and may do so for one of their Streets of Willow events.
