Byron,
Do you have more pictures of this car, where it shows Targa part?

Thank you.

I'll get some next time I stop by Mario's shop. Not my style either, but he has put a lot of work and did a pretty good job considering me has literally hand made most of the parts, he is the one who did the entire dash as well and the paint is really a quality job and with the multi color flakes, again, not easy..

993 Targa roof.

Yaz, it's killing me. All my roads are covered in salt and cinders. I play around in the garage just to find reasons to play with the Targa.

Yours is more pristine than mine for sure. Much better taken care of, whereas mine was left untended for a few years and it shows.

Targa!

Targa's are THE grand touring Porsche!
My first was a '68 blue/tan 912, soft rear window, replaced by the '70 orange/black vinyl 911E which I changed to red/tan leather.
Have a look at Dec2010 issue of Excellence, p 68.

Cheers
WB

Mystro and Others,

How come my 87 (US car) does not have those red levers next to the E brake that look like they have defrost symbols on them...

Because your 87 should have a Rotary knob-electric heater system i beleive... earlier cars have the pull levers that are attached to cables which in turn open up the heater flapper boxes attached to the exchangers to allow heat in the vehicle.

My 1988 CE has the two orange levers between the seats. They work much better than the auto/dial system I had on my 1985. They are simple but effective.

Hey,

That is where I am confused, why do some have levers and some have auto/dial...
Was the auto/dial an option ?

I have the levers too, just in front of the dial for fan speed.

Todd:

I hope your victory purchase works out. Many folks don't like the looks of a tail on a targa- but if you do, there are several options. Tea tray, late Carrera and duck are the most common. They are available used, or new-reproduction, and some bolt onto your existing deck lid. You'll want to add a chin spoiler for stability.

Cheers,

Paul.
