Bad idea to mount rear tires with different tread design from the front?

I'm sporting Bridgestone SO2's in the front and expected Tire Rack to ship the same for the rear. After the mounting I noticed they had shipped and mounted SO2 A's which have a totally different tread design from the SO2's in the front. Maybe they no longer make regular SO2's?? Should I expect any problems with this tire arrangement? Thanks for your thoughts, have a grrreat Fourth of July!

doesn't matter much

it might not be ideal to have winter tires up front and summer tires in the back ( or vice versa) during winter since obviously you want tires that move water in the rain

also you wouldn't want new tires up front and worn ones in the back
for obvious reasons,

but the thread pattern can be mixed matched as long as left and right tire are identical , not matching front or rears would actually be illegal in most of europe , don't know about the us
