OK I'm back. Took a short vacation to spend time with my daughter's. I didn't post any shots of the primer and blocking process but those are pretty basic steps. Here the car is painted and being colorsanded and buff. Only thing left is to reassemble the car and ENJOY!!

I'll post some shots of the finished product later.

Kevin, I think it's time for a decent digital camera, no? Your craftsmanship deserves a better view than those pixelated blobs.

I couldn't agree more. It's just that there are so many things on my "need to buy" list that are far more important. I'll spend some time working on my photo skill's to see if I can make shots with this camera better,

There ya go. Polished and ready to rock. A trip to TRE Automotive is in order to have Tyson reset the rear chamber and it's time to get back to the canyons.

Wonderful! Looks great, Kevin. I've already talked to Dave about getting the negative camber taken out and the rear alignment adjusted.

GORGEOUS!! And just subtle enough to get past the wifey. We should start a "Get Kevin a decent digital fund" I know the car looks WAY better in person.

And the 9 inch wheels with the 245's right David?

Cool

I was waiting to see if anyone was using the 3M method to bond the flairs on. I think that there's some real promise here. From what my dim memory recalls, chevrolet bonded the door hinges on S-10 PU's in this manner.

I wish Tyson was located somewhere closer to me.

This looks like a real winner and the wife will like the shine to the paint.

Good luck,
David Duffield

Actually David I buffed the entire car so you can tell the wife I owed you a "detail job" and it just makes the fenders look wider!

Hey Kev: thanks for all the personal attention. The wife knows. She's not pleased, but I still have a house to live in.

BTW: can we deliver the car to TRE tomorrow? Dave suggested he can get George and Burbank Alignment might be able to reset the camber and realign the rear wheels.

I'll come by with Mr. Visa for the balance so you can get...um...a better digital camera.

I had a customer tell his wife the Porsche was parked at my shop for safe keeping while the house was being remodled. It rolled in an SC and six months later rolled out a turbo look. The first day back home she walked past it and commented "Oh that cars back now is it?" Didn't notice a thing.!! Now, after hitting it twice with her SUV she's decided it takes up too much room in the garage and has told him it's time for it to go.
I'll have it listed in the For Sale section soon if anyone is looking for a nice Turbo Look.

The jury is still out as to if I really like this process. I sure wouldn't do it on a high priced restoration or a late model repair, as I'm not convinced the "bond" line won't show thru eventually. I tested this method on David's car because he is close and I can keep an eye on it, and if anything goes horribly wrong David promised NOT to throw any bricks at my Corviar when we pass up in the hills.
