Rear brake rotor question

After driving my 77 911 for about 30 minutes, it has a shimmy or a slight vibration that "comes and goes" . It fills like it is coming from the rear of the car. It does not stop when I drive at a different speed ,it just become's more or less noticable. Also ,when I take my foot off of the gas pedal and let the car coast to a stop , it does so very quickly, almost like I am pressing the brake. It does it in gear or out of gear. I'm thinking either CV joint/axle, or wheel bearing ,or brakes.

I replaced the CV joints ,rebuilt the brake calipers ,check for pad's sticking, check the wheel bearings and they seemed to be okay. I dont know if the two problems above have any thing to do with each other or not. Last night when I got home from a drive , with a handheld pyrometer ,I checked the temps of the front rotors, 115F and the rears were 188F . Does this sound right , I thought if the front does most of the stopping force then it would have had the higher temps. OR is the higher heat transferring from the CV, Tranny ,engine, exhaust? Is the higher heat readings pointing to my issues mentioned above?

Sorry so long ,but I wanted to supply all of the details
Rick

But can the higher temps on the rear rotor be coming from the rear drive trane? Is this normal? Can someone measure there front and rears?

Thanks
Rick

Your drive train would not transfer that kind of heat into the hubs. If you have noticable heat in your hubs, front or rear, with no wheel bearing noises, you have dragging brakes. Is the elevated temperature in the rear in evidence from side to side? Let us know how you made out with the park brake check.

Yes, both sides in the rear are 188 and both fronts are 115. I'll let you know what I find on the parking brake.
