Wheel Size with Flares

I am growing ever more fond of the looks of flares on the SC's. What size wheel do I have to go to in order to run them? I have 16X8 996 wheels on my car right now. Is it expensive to have 2 wheels widened in order to look right with the flares? I cannot imagine adding more to my spacers.

Not a good idea to "widen" a wheel. You can with some, some you can't. Either way, I would not go there. To answer your question, you need a turbo offset 16x10 or 11 in the rear... you can do 17 or 18 as well. I think the backspacing is 5" for the Turbo. Might be 6... You will want 9's for the front. If you run wide flares in the back you need them in the front too...

Since you already have 9" rear flares I assume that you meant 9 & 11" turbo flares.

If you had wheels with reasonable 911 o/s then ~1" front and ~2" rear spacers are all that are needed. But given the fact that you are starting w/ wheels w/ the wrong o/s then you will need twice as much spacer.

My advice? If you proceed w/ 9 & 11" turbo flares get wheels w/ 911 or even better correct 930 o/s to go w/ them.
