Talking 2004 GruppeB Peoples Choice CarShow and Benefit!

Thought I would throw out an early reminder. This year we are benefitting the Kosciusko County Cancer Fund. We had over 60 cars show up last year. I would like to beat that this year of course, and for my own selfish reasons I would like more Porsches there....

Time: Registration starts at 2:00
Judging starts at 4:00
Trophy presentation at 6:00

Date: Saturday September 11th

Place: Warsaw, In CCAC

Entry fee: $10

Again this year this will be a 100% benefit! All money raised goes to the fund.

I am going to ask the local Ramada for a discount again this year. Also don't forget the "GruppeB Bonfire of Doom" will take place Friday night at dusk in my back yard.

I already have door prizes showing up at the house! We are contacting the Kosciusko Cancer fund to see how to handle donations from people that cant make the show but still want to participate. I will post all info in this thread.

More Later...

OK...here's an idea for you. I think that there should be a "remote" category in the carshow. People who can't make it in person submit an 8x10 photo of their car along with their entry fee. The photos are all shown on a table and a winner picked.

Jack would need his own freakin table

You could have a prize for best entrant car based on photos and distance, would be pretty cool!

Jack would need his own zip code to fit all the pics...

I think the rule would be one photo per entry fee. A collage would be OK. A great excuse to send $10 to a worthy cause...

Todd,
That is brilliant! Okay game on. We now have a "remote entry" catagory. Send a 8X10 photo of your car with a brief description of the vehicle and the $10 entry fee to:

GruppeB car show
426 west main street
warsaw, IN 46580

If you want the picture back send a SASE. The entry fee can be a check or money order made out to " Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund".

I will post this idea on some hot rod boards and see if we can get some muscle mixed in.

Now if we count the remote entries in the participant count is that cheating?
