Fuel Pump stays on (buzzz)
My fuel pump stays on, never shuts off until the motor is shut off.
Anyone know how to get the pump to shut off?

Maybe I misunderstand your question...but it is normal for your fuel pump to be on when your engine is running. Your engine would die soon after it shut off.

Huh? Do you mean it stays on after the motor is shut off?

Cutoff switch is disconnected. How do I reconnect?

Maybe it has gotten noisier and you didn't notice it before?
It runs as long as the ignition is on, even if the motor is not running -- say, before you start the starter. |

Air flow switch is disconnected or bad. Look (feel?) for the connector on the forward side of the air box and rconnect if loose.

I guess that you mean that the fuel pump runs when the key is in the on position and the car is not running. The easiest thing might be to try a different fuel pump relay. The contacts on yours may be permanently closed. Good luck

Yeah, that's what is going on. It makes a buzzing noise, and is really loud... always.

The Bentley manual shows what conditions need to be met inorder for the fuel pump to run. With a voltmeter or test light I'd imagine that you could check for voltage at various pins where the fuel pump relay plugs in.
I'm on the road right now and don't have a manual with me or I'd list them for you. |

As Jim mentioned above, the air flow switch usually gets disconnected to help with cold start issues. The fuel pump then runs as soon as you turn the switch 'on'. Did this just 'happen', or has it been going on for some time?
Good luck,

It's been happening ever since the purchase.
It was even in the PPI.

There is also a wire that could be disconnected by the 14-pin connector (it goes to the air-flow sensor plate switch).
