Question Just purchased a Stewe Wong chip. Tips?

My car is an 88 Carrera with stock muffler. I always use 93 octane fuel.
I was thinking of swapping the chips tomorrow. Any particular advice on things I should be aware of? It looks like a pretty straight forward job to me.

Looking fwd to see if it makes a difference.

Did mine earlier this year. Nothing to it. Just follow the directions and then enjoy. I have! Also Steve W. is great to work with if you have any questions

Get a radar detector - you won't be able to keep your foot out of it.

Oh yeah - ignore Loren.

I'm with Jake. I added a Fabsport pre-muff, a B & B muffler and Steve's chip and get wheel spin that I never got in stock form. A friend in CA with the identical setup on his CS dynoed his at 245hp. I also added the cone filter........lots of opinions on that though

Next up is one of Steve's chips for my track 78 SCarrera

I've thought about getting a chip from him for my 3.6, how much and how can I get in contact with him?

Thats alot even for the crank after just bolt ons/ins. I think for a Wong chip, a muffler and a pre-muff, 205 RWHP would be pushing it.

Installing my chip was real easy, just go slow and careful. The before and after is quite noticeable!

Just add 93 octane and go!

Best money I ever spent on a car, hands down. Thanks SteveW !!

Craig is referring to my set up. I am running a Steve Wong chip, Dansk pre-muff, Borla muffler and K&N cone filter. My latest dyno showed 206.8 RWHP and this would convert to approx 243hp at the flywheel assuming 15% drivetrain loss. Steve supplied me another updated chip recently and I will be dyno-ing that one against my stock setup soon.

Thanks for the link Wayne, I got so excited, I was ready to throw the money down, then realized, there isn't one for my beloved 3.6 liter engine back to the drawing board.
