90 C2 and Location of final stage regulator FSR (blower resister)

After a prgression of DIY testing, it appears that the final stage regulator (FSR) is faulty in this 90 C2. The front blower motors continue to run with the key removed and with the CCU removed. Pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery is the only way (reasonable way) to stop the fans from blowing. I have located an FSR from a supplier but I want to verify that the fans stop when the current FSR is removed.

Can someone tell me where the FSR is located and if there are any particular requirements to remove it?

Thanks - Loren

The FSR blower speed regulator is in the trunk area in front of the firewall.
It slides down in a compartment just behind the spare tire. It's about 9'' by
about 12''. It's a sealed (potted) unit on an aluminum plate (for heat).

Thanks Loren. I can not find the thing. Does the fuel tank hide the view?

It's behind the fuel tank in a slot setting vertically.

AS it turns out the two MOSFETS serving pns 6 and 7 test shorted when removed from the circuit. Anyone have a cross reference for a BTS 13U?

Loren, thanks for your help. Your added description was just the ticket.

Just measure the motor current (probably 8 to 10 amps) and select a device
with 2X that value (probably a 25 to 30 amp device - N-channel drain current).
Also, make sure the gate to source "on" voltage (max) is 5 volts.
