I'm not top dog anymore!

I have always had the fastest car at my house. That is just the way it has been and I thought that it waould always be that way, until yesterday. My nephew who lives with me brought home his new car. It was an '04 Subaru WRX STI. This car has the most violent acceleration that I have ever felt. It will stop quicker than my SC by yards. What can I do? I have thought about moving him out by the whole wife thing. Maybe I can blow the car up and he can get something more practical. HELP!!!

Add a turbo to your SC. Apples to apples.

There's a lot of technology in those rally-based cars that just wasn't available to Porsche back in the SC days. I'd just try not to worry about it, unless you want spend a huge amount of money on upgrades, and still be slower when he upgrades his Subaru's intercooler.

Loosen the hose clamps going into and out of the intercooler. That'll slow him down

Get one for yourself. That hideous wing is removable if you're older than 25.

The answer is simple...
1upmanship!
Buy a cheap 912 and then put a subaru engine in it... hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

If you're talking about straightline performance, heck, you could worry all day about dozens of cars. Brakes? Doesn't the Subaru have brakes the size of 15-inch wheels or something? Strip your car down a bit in weight, put on some good tires, and take him to the twisties. That's where the 911 belongs and where the Subaru may not keep up as well.

If he lives with you and you charge him rent, raise it so he'll have to sell the Subie. If he lives with you for free, follow my first advice and sabotage his car.

It's still a subaru. If you wanted an ugly car with performance, you could have one. You appreciate the finer things in life. I bet you buy the good ice cream instead of the $2.50 3-gallon jug of ice cream too.

Yes those WRX STI are quick.

Buy a 964, 993 or a 996 this cars will take on a STI once you hit the freeway.

I have pushed my 964 against my friends STI without a problem,
but then again they all think my 964 is one of those freak motors.
or just trade cars once in awhile this way you get to drive and have fun with both cars.

New WRX? Is this nephew paying you rent? If not, start charging. If so, up the rent.

Is that true? They void warranties if their cars get on the track?

I just heard about something like this with Mitsubishi and the Evo. They refused to fix it. The guy is in a lawsuit against them stating false advertising.
