confirmation on engine # please

I would just like to confirm- My engine # is 6569099 is a 1976 2.7 911S usa (not cal) 911/89, correct? also, would thi have been offered in a 77 model year car, or is this possibly a transplant? thanks for any help! -kris

Slater,
According to my Redbook you are mostly correct, 6569099 (type 911/89) would be a US (non CA) 2.7 from a 911S with a sportmatic tranny. But it looks like that would be for the '76 year model. Actually, it says this was the engine installed on cars produced from august 1975 to july 1976, so I'm assuming that would be a'76 model.

Correct, 6569xxx is a US/Canada 76 2.7s w/ Sportomatic.
