What is the typical maint on a 930
I have a bug to get another 911, and thought wouldn't it be fun to get a 930. I don't drive more then a 1000 miles a year.

1000 a year miles is very little.
you'll spend more on yearly maintenance than driving maintenance...turbo or not...

I've owned a 1978 911SC for 10 years and a 1979 930 for two. For me, the maintenance effort is about the same.

A buddy of mine had an 88 930 Cab (has a 996 now) and he spent a LOT more than I did over the same period of time. However, he did NO DIY maintenance and had all work done at Beverly Hills Porsche so that probably accounts for the majority if the differential, nonetheless, he ran up some huge bills keeping that car in excellent shape. I'd still kill to have one, if I could afford to do it.

I have had noth at NA 911 and Turbo...the cost seem( as long as you do not turn the boost past 1 bar, do not ask me how I know this!) to be the same.

No first hand knowledge but I've read that the Turbo itself needs frequent ($$) rebuilding if not reguarly used. Maintenance is a bit more expensive; bigger tires, larger brake pads and more plumbing to be removed to gain access to the engine. The engines also tend to have a shorter lifespan the non-turbo versions.
