when i took my tranny out of my car, i fiddled with the cv joints and boots and one of the cv joints came apart. does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the cv joint back together?
btw, mods, i was unable to search for cv joint because the minimum word length on the search is 3 letters. dunno if you might want to change that to allow searching for things like this. edit: forgot to mention what kind of car i have. 1977 Porsche 911S. |

The search string " *joint *assembly " turns up two good threads on the subject, and yours, too!

Good luck, I took mine apart & when I got them back together they didn't articulate properly after I reinstalled them. It was a big PITA & I should have just replaced all of them to begin with because they had over 100k miles which is their service life. It probable didn't help that I didn't keep all the individual pieces separate from one another & organized by each joint in & outside.
