Replacing Cabrio rear window?
Hey gang,
What's the typical cost to replace just the rear plastic window on the Cabriolet? Mine is so bad now that I can't even see through it! ![]() I'd like to get a Trimmer to replace it, but just curious as to whether anyone here has done theirs and could tell me what sort of $$$ I would be paying to have it done?!? Actually, the whole roof looks aged/faded & needs replacing! I actually considered replacing the whole thing with a new 993 top, but it's a bit out of my budget right now. Maybe something to do when I eventually do the Patritti 993tt body conversion ![]()

Merv, I need to get this done, too.
I've been asking around here in Melb and most trimmers agree that the entire roof needs to be removed before they can go change the window. I'm chasing pricing now and I'll PM you if you want. Might be able to get it done cheaper for two.

Hi Adam,
I'm told that these windows can be replaced fairly easily by a competent trimmer for around the $200-$300 mark. The complete roof does NOT need to be changed. I think they've got their hands "on it" there. I'll do some research too, so let's compare notes soon ![]()

Unfortunately the two piece top is glued/attached and stretched on to the rear bow. One has to remove the front piece to remove and install the back piece.
I’ve been told that the front piece won’t survive removal if it’s too old. My front piece had been replaced by the PO, but my rear needs to be replaced. PO had raised roof on unleveled ground then forced it closed, bent both sides. Had a receipt for close to $3000 to repair it, yet didn’t have back window replaced. Probably was taken advantage of. I have a new rear section (back window) to install, just haven’t found directions on how to install it.

I just had this done a couple months ago. Yes, they have to remove the entire top, and they ripped a small part of the main top ungluing it. They suggested I replace the whole top, but it was out of my budget.
The cost was $400, which would be ~$1200 AUS ![]()
