Turbo oil drain 0n 3.2 conversion,help?

l`ve searched and l`ve read and l`m still not clear if this will work.l plan to drain the oil from the turbo into the drivers side cam cover and my turbo is in stock 930 location. This is the key information,my turbo is in the stock 930 location, just higher then the lower right corner of the cam cover. lf someone who`s actually done it will post results it will be much appreciate.l plan to use large diameter drain tubing,no oil accumulator as that will lower the line too much.l can space the turbo up 1/2 inch more if needed.l`m hoping this will work as it`s so simple...Tsueter did this method, is it working? Any help appreciated.. P.S. l know this will work, but my turbo isn`t much higher then the drain location.l measured pretty carefully and the line will slope down...a little,15 degrees..

Not sure of the factory turbo location but can you go to the lower valve cover? ala Protomotive.

Remeber two things:

1. turbo-bearing must be over "water-level" of oil

2. Turbo oil scavenge line shouldn't tilt more than 15 degees from vertical (per Garrett's specification, KKK shouldn't be too much off).

As i told you in your earlier thread, I don't think you'll gonna make it if you have it at same height as 930 turbo, it's too low. Either extra scavenge-pump or higher location will solve the problem.

I did it on mine, it works great but I'm not running a 930 header, I too have the BAE kit. I ran a hose from the turbo to the lower protion of hte cam tensioner cover, it works well. Keep it as short and as steep as possible.

thanks again guys for info and especially pics.l think it will work okay with the big diameter very short line l`m using and the turbo is higher then the cam cover...lf it blows smoke l`ll go with a pump to recirc into the oil tank, but l think l`m okay.l`ll post pics once l finish fabbing things up,should be soon as l try to work on some it every day.
