New guy - intro w/ hot pics

HI;

I've been posting on this board for a month or so, feel a bit like a poacher so I thought to introduce myself. David Glenn, age 52, and I live in the Wal mart capital of the world, Tulsa. I do home automation and lighting control systems in the Saudi palace sized homes that people here feel the need to build. I hide money from my wife, beat my kids regularly, love my dogs.
Porsche history, you ask? Started when I was 9, went for a ride in a convertible 'D' with my uncle at the dealership. Still have the brochure, along with the first 911 folder from '65 they gave me to keep me from sleeping outside the door. Got my first p car in '69, a '65 SC coupe, and I've been going ever since. I've had over 20 cars at this point, all rear engine/air cooled, never got romanced with the other ones.
here's a few pics of one of my current loves;

This is my '74 euro carrera, done up 'R Gruppe okie' style; Carbon fiber hood, doors, and deck, all lexan windows, stripped tub, no rear seats, etc. Weighs 2020 wet and street legal.
Motor is RS spec, except for 9.5 compression, E+ cams, Webers on tall PMO's.
Other mods are 22/28 bars, Bilstein sports, 21 sways, sway away plates, spindle raise.
HP? I don't now, it runs like a scalded dog. est 210 -220. I'm getting ready to go to glass bumpers, get it under 2K.

I can't describe how much I've enjoyed this board in the last month, the tech stuff is awesome, most of the posters I've read are witty and knowledgeable. Kind of isolated here in the midwest, and it feels really good to find a link to people interested in the same things I am. I hope to make some contributions myself in the future; I collect and trade old 911 racing stuff, and I'm a student of Porsche racing history.

Regards and thanks,
David

Nice ride, and welcome. Who are the door panels made by?

>I live in the Wal mart capital of the world, Tulsa<
However, that would be Bentonville, Ark.

You're right, I should rephrase that as the "Wal-Mart attitude capital of the world". Here Porsches are porches. When I say I'm headed for the track, I'm asked if I run sprints or modifieds, and doesn't the dust get into everything? The symbol of our city is a 100' golden statue of a roughneck. etc, etc.

Color is ppg 17779, I don't have the name. Almost Identical to our Canadian friends S/T 'Gretchen'.
Door panels were on the car when I got it, came from Original Fit Interiors in Roseberg, OR.

more pics

Having trouble loading more pics or the'74, keep exceeding the kb limit. Maybe too much rez?? here's some low res shots from Cimmaron Tech

Wayne; The pickup only comes out as Porsche support vehicle; I keep the gun rack and fishin' poles in the 911, right under the beaver traps.
