WOW, Denver Porsches galore
WOW, Porsches galore, I should get out more.
I took K’s Land Cruiser over to Burt Toyota this morning at about 7:15, returning home about 9:30. In 15 minutes each way I saw more than 33 Porsches. I lost count. Rout was Colorado Blvd, Hampden, University, Belleview, Broadway. A new yellow Carrera GT following an identical color early ‘90s Corvette. 6+ Boxters. 19+ 911s including: A ’66-’67 Irish green coupe with 4 1/2 chrome wheels. Three+ ’69-73 911s, one Aubergine! An RSR appearing 911, possible centerlocks? Lots of 2.7s, SC, Carrera, 964, 993, and 996. I lost count. A 356A Cabriolet. A ’59 D-Roadster, Champagne yellow. Two 356B coupes. A 356C coupe A 356C cab AND A 914-6, blue with subtle flares turning 5000 in traffic! With this extreme number, I’m sure I missed all the Cayennes and more. There was a time when I knew 95% of the Colorado registered Porsches – no longer. If you were one of these cars, feel free to e-mail me. Best, Grady gradyclay@hotmail.com |

Grady, the porsche gods were smiling upon you. I don't see that kind of thing! I haven't seen a CGT in Denver, and I see 356s pretty rarely (Except at George Maybee's!)

that's like porn w/o the pictures....
Regardless, that must have been quite a sight. Glad you could enjoy it for the rest of us ![]() (thanks for a good effort to describe the cars, though. They must have really etched themselves on your retinae to be able to recall that much. That would have made my day too!) |

I don't see that many in SoCal except for Boxsters and the ususal one or 2 996's. When I see an early or mid year car, I sit up and notice. Hardly ever see 964s and never 993s.
Of course, I operate out of Long Beach. This ain't no Newport. |

Jerry, I saw your car at George Maybee's Gmund event. It looked great! I didn't get a chance to track you down as I think you arrived early and left a bit early and I arrived late and left a bit late.

Grady, do you remember seeing this one? I was driving East on Belleview from Broadway to I-25 between 7 and 8 am. I remember seeing several other Porsches but not as many as you did!
