troubleshooting blinking oil light

I am trying to troubleshoot why my oil light is blinking and was hoping someone might be able to help me.

Symptoms:
The light does not blink when the engine is at idle.
The light does not blink when the car is at low speeds/RPM.
Even at high speed/RPM, the light will stop blinking for a while, it will blink faintly and other times brightly.
The blinking begins within minutes of driving.

Checklist:
The emergency brake is fully disengaged.
The oil level has been checked on level ground, with the engine at temperature and idle.

Variables:
The oil was changed recently.
The light began blinking after being caught in a torrential summertime thunderstorm 2/3 of the way through a spirited 2 hour drive.
Battery died, had to jump car.
Have not done any electrical system checks (not sure what to check)

Car is a 72 T

Ground wires are probably loose or corroded or even wet from the down poor

Thanks.
This problem has persisted for about a week, albeit a wet week.
We'll see how things are this weekend.
Is there anything I can do to try to troubleshoot it? Would anything else be effected similarly?

Of all the things to hope a good drive on a nice sunny day will fix, a flashing oil light is hard to ignore

Eric, check to see if you have a brake light at the same time as the oil light.

If so it could bethe oil pressure sender/switch.

A 72T doesn't have an oil light

The green one at the top is the brake light, will when handbrake is on or if the pressure sender deects a problem * that's brake pressure)

The red one is the alternater chatge light

Jeff:
I think a fair amount has happened to my '72 since '72.
What is in place now has an orange alt charge light at bottom and a red oil and e brake light at top.
I will do a thurough check on the electrical system this weekend.
Thanks for your help
