I couldn't see a single straight body panel on that car.

Looks like a decent car for what it is. Price looks like a deal, if it was engineered well. I wonder why anybody would do that & sell it immediately, unless just for the fun of building it.

It looked like the tail was pretty heavily modified to clear the blower/carb/air filter. That was not attractive. The vent in the hood could have been more elegantly finished, and what tranny do you think he's using, he says 5 spd, but it was originally a turbo. I'm thinking he's gone through a few 915's and that's why he's selling.

I like it. Would probably do some stuff differently, but it looks like a fun toy. Oh yeah, that rollbar won't satisfy NHRA rules for a car that can run 9s, for 1 it's missing the sidebars that run diagonally from the rearside of the door near hte front window sill down to the front corner of the door.

That's a real tranny tester.

The belt drive on the supercharger looks as if it extends further out than the tail should be able to cover. Is this right or am I seeing things?

I'd love to take this one for a drive! And if I had an extra $20K laying around it would be mine. Put another $20K in it and you've got a world class rocket for SUV pricing.

NHRA will only allow rear engine cars of "original type" anyway in anything other than a fixed axle dragster. So the fact that the cage isn't up to snuff is of little consequence. That is why "Outlaw" tracks exist

Why don't we ever see someone dropping a 930 motor in the front of a new Mini or Geo Metro?

Engine looks good... Lines look bad. 915 eater for sure. What trans would one need to install in the thing to be worth while? Could ya beef up a 915 to handle that motor?

If I had nothing better to do with 30,000.00 (15,000 car 15,000 stuff) I'd buy it to play with. Saving peso's to do an RSR rep next year...

Take it easy. Yea it is a little rough looking but probably a lot of fun. Putting some wide fuchs on that car would go a long way in the looks department. Wouldn't take much money to make that car look ok but the tranny is the big question. No cheap way out there.

Hi guys. First of all. I'd absolutely LOVE a porsche(gimmie gimmie), but how could you buy a car like that?. It ONLY does 5 seconds to 100, and he admits that it doesnt handle that well. I admit, the 1/4 mile time is pretty stunning, but still, if it doesnt go round corners fast?.

There are MUCH cheaper cars that will get to 100 much faster and that will handle much better.

I own a Nissan GTI-R which does 4.6 seconds to 100 and all that ive done is turn up the boost. Cost me $10,000NZD + $95 for a boost controller. Beat that?

Gah.. I just think its sooo sad he resorted to sticking a big heavy v8 in there.... Eeeech...Could he not have started out with something cheap like an MR2?

I didnt actually think i was gonna end up sounding so cocky and arrogant in this post.. Im not really starting out too well am I?. Post #1. :-)

This guy states 0 to 100 MPH in 5 sec...your GTI-R does 4.6 to 100 MPH by just turning up the boost??? Don't think so...

Interessting thing is that it's often Porscheless people who are first to wave a flag of "German Engineered Glorous Piece of Machinery" yadda yaddism...

It's just a car.

the car is awesome. with a few quid spent it would be amazing. perhaps a 3.0 RSR rep in some old school colours with huge fuchs. how much worse than a standard 911 can it handle? from what ive been told there isn't that much in the way of weight difference between the two engines and with the right suspension bits..........and a 9 sec quarter is proper serious. think of most super/hypercars and it would probably beat them
