What I spent at Pelican in 2 years...

I just tallied what I have spent at Pelican Parts from 6/25/2002 until 8/3/2004 and the amount is $2638.09, which includes shipping charges. This includes a PermaTune unit, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, Bilstein rear shocks, misc parts and consumables (Swepco fluids, etc...).

How does this compare with the rest of you guys? I'm at approx. $110.00 per month for new parts and accessories. Of course, this doesn't include the used parts I've purchased from others here and on eBay as well as parts purchased from local auto parts stores.

Just curious...

I'm guessing I'm close to $2500-3K in 2 years. Any single order under a hundred makes me think I'm a slacker.

I'd be happy if my expenses in the last 2 years were under 5 digits...or even in the low 5 digits!

I came up with $4213 including the $700 or so though my mechanic for engine swap related parts. What's scary is--other than the SSIs there were no big ticket items there. It's amazing how all those small parts, bits of hardware and scraps of rubber add up.

I've got you all beat just on rate alone. In the last two weeks, I've placed half a dozen orders for a total of about $1700. But then, I'm rebuilding my transmission, so that's probably excusable. Oh, and I'm single.

Hmm, In 18 months I have about $7k from pelican and $7k from various other folks in tools, used parts, machine work, etc.

That does include a complete engine rebuild, complete front & rear suspension rebuild, and numerous other small projects.

I really don't want to know the exact numbers. I'm confortable knowing that its not enough to get me divorced, but it's enough that I can justify it to the spouse by statements like "cheaper than a drug habit/mistress/golf/boat/etc..."

Zoanas,
I used the browers top button a few times and noticed the still rack. Then I pondered the situation...very nice.

Off the top of my head, I think I've spent roughly $3K since I got the car about 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe it's more and I'm in denial, who knows. My wife would certainly say that. Almost all of that (>90%) is at Pelican. I've been clamping down this year, on all my hobbies.

$2862 since last November on a 17K mile "perfect" 87'. Mostly on improvements. Now it's better than perfect! ;-)
