Purchase help needed.

I am currently restoring a 74 but I need to get a new daily driver because my lease is up on my BMW. I and am thinking about buying a used updated 911. I am currently looking at three cars, can anyone give me any additional help. Obviously the 99 is the the cheapest but should I stay away from this year because it was the first water cooled year. Here are the three cars I am looking at.

99 911 C4 - 40K miles, $40,000 range
02 C4 S - 24K miles, $65,000 range
03 911 - 10K miles, $65,000 range

Thanks,

The early 996s have rear main seal problems, but other than that there's not much negative to say about them. As the saying goes "Newer is better with Porsches."
