Fatmat? Dynamat? Sound shields
Anybody have any experience using either of these brands of hoodliners on the engine firewall?

Dynamat is good but expensive! I bet you could order one from Pelican for maybe less, or go down to the local auto shop and pick up a bulk role of whatever foil brand they have and cut your own pattern. They have foil tape as well to seal the edges. I got enough to do 4 pads, tape, and hi-temp glue for under $50.

The light wt. guys have already found it -- the search engine will find various issues re wt. and old style asphaltic coatings like the original Dynamat.
