Wish us luck - Tampa Bay Porsche Folks

Well my car us up on jack stands - I have a feeling it's like rearranging deck chairs on the Titantic.

My car is 9.5 feet above mean sea level - The house is as secure as possible - the boats are tied up.

I know Seadweller is in the same situation - Cicsprog is in the area, Jack Gresham, Targa911s, Craig Stevens.

Be safe out there guys - and wish us luck - let's hope this thing takes a turn.

Me and my family are safe and far inland. - that's what counts right now...

Good luck!

Isabel had been downgraded to a tropical storm/cat 1 when it hit us last year and really tore us up. I can only imagine what a cat 3 would be like.

Good luck and be safe. It looks like the water is going to be the biggets enemy. Remember, cars can be replaced, family members can't.

Cross your fingers, be safe. I hope you all make it thru fine!!

I'll second that on Isabel. I lost 8 trees. One in my main yard, 7 behind my fence. Nothing hit the house though. whew...

I spend 22 long Hurricane seasons in Florida, this one is scary for the West coast.

Keep the faith:

God protects.

Spent 36 of my years in Fla., now have family in Temple Terrace, Riverview, Land O' Lakes and Astitula. Best of luck. Seems like it's either drought or flooding, no happy medium anymore.

We'll just suffer from the rain, 4.5 in. yesterday not even associated w/ either storm and much more on the way. We're high and dry but a lot of roads around are not.

I truely feel sorry for the folks in central NJ, they haven't recovered from severe flooding 2 weeks ago and now they get this!

Good luck to all of us.

Jeremy and other west-central FL folks:
I'm leaving Tallahassee right now headed south for Lakeland (home)...should be there by about 2PM or 3PM Friday afternoon to catch up with my family and ride the storm out.
If any FL west coast folks need help or harbor after the storm shoot me a PM...assuming any of us still have any 'net connectivity. Safe wishes for all.

My bother and his family live in Tampa.
They've gone inland to Lakeland.
Pretty scary stuff.

Hey, good luck...

Remove any loose items in your garage that may fall and you may want to consider cracking your windows a bit to offset high wind pressure. If you have a car cover use it...

Anyway, good luck...You down there battle hurracanes and up here we battle Noreasters....

Hope everyone pulls through with little loss. A category four is down right scary!

Looks like the west coast St.Pete, Tampa, Clearwater will get a break. We are waiting for the storm here in Lakeland. Hope Fort Myers makes out ok.

Unfortunately the storm has changed course, looks like it's going to hit Ft. Myers directly and follow I4 right up thru Orlando to Daytona Beach, she's a category 4 and I'm not ashamed to say I'm nervous.I've lived in Orlando for 12 years now and this is the worst one I have seen, the Porsche is in the garage and the family is in the house,I sure hope to be able to send out some e-mails tomorrow.
