Power window to manual conversion

Is it dificult to switch from power to manual on a 77 911? Is there any welding or drilling involved or is it basically remover the guts and put the other set of guts in. I know I will have to fix by panels also.

Thanks,

David

I just did a repaint on my 78. I have manual windows in my car. I took the doors apart and got to see how things work in there. Putting them back in was not that hard and there are a few things to line up and adjust before you cinch things down. My regulators were working ok so I didn't rebuild or replace anything although I know there are parts that can be replaced to improve operation. I would think this would be a simple retrofit as I am sure all the doors out there have the correct holes for the manual regulators. There are different kinds available so I would recommend that you find the better (I think later) mechanism if you can.

I replaced the electric motors and requlators in my 77 with no problem. Just remove and replace.
