Porsche Crest Wiring on elwctric window switches

Hi All,

Well I goofed! Removed door panels last night. It was late and my digital camera wasnt working, so I didnt take pictures of the wiring on the electric window switches. Went to put the switches back on and found I had forgotten the wiring sequence. Now the switches dont work. 1977 Carrera3.0 Targa, w/ pass/driver switch on drivers side and switch on pass side...

If anyone has pics or can tell me the sequence, I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks in Advance,
Greg

I think I found a thread that will help! (just had to keep searching!)

Its for an 81, I think its the same for my 77 3.0

I'll post how it worked out...

As per workshop manual, each terminal is numbered 1-5, and terminal/wire color is as follows:
switch, on drivers side, for passenger side - 1/redwhite, 2/redblack, 3/red(doesn't matter which red), 4/brown, 5/red

switch, on drivers side, for drivers side - 1/black, 2/green, 3/red, 4/brown, 5/red

switch, on passenger side - 1/black, 2/green, 3/redwhite, 4/brown, 5/redblack
Hope this helps.BTDT

After checking the pelican thread, I checked the manual for an 81 and the wire colors are as in my previous post. Don't know where all those other pretty colors come from, but they aren't in the factory wiring diagram for 81. Post how it goes. Good luck
