Two Nuts
Hi
I have a 1976 911. Can anyone tell me what these two nuts/bolts are? Looking from the rear valance they appear at the very rear of the engine, just behind the exhaust. Clearly one is not bolted correctly. Someone in the past has been a bit violent with it and its burred and appears to be cross threaded. Can anyone tell me what they do, and what I need to fix it? Thanks Andrew

They hold the bottom part of the engine carrier on. Very important.

You might as well replace the lockwashers while you're in there, but like Zeke says, don't worry too much about them after you tighten them up.
