Cool 993GT2 + Body Progress

Gratutious Photos:

This is the results of my holiday of test fitting body panels steep learnig curve...

The 993 +3" rear quarters would not cover the rear wheels so I added the 14" add on flares that accomodate 28" racing tires but instead lowered the fron of the add on flares to match the 25" fenderwell lip resulting in an additional 2.25" of clearence, so I guess I have +5.25 rear quarters now - anyway they clear nicly and added some much needed height inside the rear fenderwell.

Also chopped an inch out of the back edge of the tail and tapered it forward to the front edge ( girlfriends idea - artist ) and Il be dammed it it dosent look much better and I just dont know why???

This is all just a test fit, everything will get a final fit, internal bracing, and a internal reinforcing of a couple layers of matt & resin.

Weeeeeee getting close to paint time

that thing is as wide as it is long !! l hope you`ll consider flat black primer - all business and perfect to hide conversion clues. Just don`t paint it burgundy,no Porsche deserves that

Whats propelling that beast? I hope its not a 2.4 or 2.7. I want to hear you say 3.6 turbo or supercharged.

I plead the fifth on the powerplant for now.. Bigger than 2.7

Last dyno was 612rwhp..

However a new supercharger is sitting on my shop bench awaiting the arrival of the blueprinted 930 trans with billit plates and LSD..

RickM,

Thanks! I think?

Well I just wanted to double check myself and honestly the panels were really good quality so it is not as hard as it looks, well most of it. I am not a body guy but after this project I may be. I keep thinking " ok today I am taking it to the body guy " then I think what if he is not as anal as me and I progress a little farther...

Wonder if I could paint it too????

Yeah - with a 3/4 stance like this:

You better have something to back it up - 612 rwhp should do it!
