Pertronix Flamethrower Coil - Anyone Tried This?
Pertronix FLAMETHROWER coil.
Saw this today on the bay. Anyone used it? |

I have that coil and it works great. I mean no significant power boost, because its only a coil. Mine is fitted on my 84 carrera with stock ignition.

After seeing this post, and I was just in the market for a new coil, since I use a Pertronix ignitor; I think I'll be buying one of these-
I'll add the bucks for a epoxy style as opposed to the oil filled too.

An 84 uses a different coil than an earlier CDI car.
There was a thread a while back about coils, Apparently the MSD "Blaster" coil is a direct replacement for a Bosch CDI coil for early (to 83) cars. Use the High Vibration version if you are mounting it in the stock location. Tom |

On your suggestion, I just recieved my new epoxy style MSD Blaster coil! I should have it in this weekend, and maybe I'll even notice a small difference from my 27 year old stock coil?!?!
