How rare are 1989 Carerra Coupes? Production #?
I just bought an '89 Carerra Coupe, the last of the old bodystyle. How many non-Turbo, non-Carerra 4 coupes were made in 1989? I know 1989 was a bad sales year for Porsche and they were winding down Carerra production. Also, I saw very few '89 Coupes for sale when I was looking for mine.
Just wondering how rare my ride is. I'm sure my '71 E Targa is rarer, with only 900 some made in '71. Thanks for any help. |

The last 4 numbers is the count of each style. Ian

I don't see the Carerra 4 listed separately though. Do those numbers for the Carerra coupe include them?

According to those numbers the Speedster was the most common '89 by far. Is that a typo?

C4's were not listed - just 3.2s.
These figures jive with the Red Book. 911 Carrera Speedster 91x KS 15 5001 - 91x KS 15 5581 911 Carrera Speedster US & CDN 91x KS 17 3001 - 91x KS 17 3823 I guess I should have said that you start with the number in the 1st part & end with the number in the last so: Speedster RoW = 581 Speedster US & CDN = 823 Sorry for the confusion. Wow 823 US Speedsters and 1156 US Coupes. I didn't know they made that many Speedsters...my coupe is almost as rare, and a US Targa even rarer!
I wonder how many 911 coupes Porsche cranks out per year now...I heard over 10,000! |
