Transmission Leak Questions

I have a 72 911 T.

I've been plotting to remove the engine from my 72 911 and replace the clutch and a few other things...

I'm noticing that there is a fair amount of oil (probably transmission oil) leaking from/around the transmssion. The fluid in a few places:
1) visible around where the transmission meets the engine
2) in the middle of the transmission
3) in the front of the transmission
4) a wet spot where about 1 foot in front of where the transmisson is hidden by the metal low shelf. I assume this is from the shaft....

The car shifts fine. The leaks do not put fluid on the floor of my garage, probably because of the thickness of this type of fluid.

I would like to address these leaks but does it mean I will have to rebuild the transmission? I realize 72 has a few seals that are not accessed easily...

Thoughts on how to proceed??

Thanks.

On a '72 915 the shift rod seal, the output shaft seals, the side cover o-ring, the bottom shift fork cover seal and maybe the speedometer output seal can be replaced without significantly taking the tranmission apart. To get to the rest of the seals, it has to come partially apart (the housings have to be separated). This is not "rebuilding" the transmission which should mean replacing worn components: synchro rings, operating sleeves, brake bands, etc. Jim
