I just got off the phone with Phoenix Motorsports Inc. (the same ones that due the brake stuff) and they said that they are planning a new Fuch style rim.

They are working with an OEM manufactor of Mercedes rims to fab a new 17" that is rescaled up of a 15". I have no affiliation other than this discussion, but they presented it to esthetically appear as a scaled up center without the additional lip of a 16". The center is going to be enlarged proportionally. It will be a multiple piece rim with hidden fasteners from the back side. Clearanced for big calipers. Scott at Phoenix is estimating ~$5-550 per rim.

Just wanted to post an alternative that I just became aware of tonight.

I would go all black I think. Here's black center:

I like the Mach 5 or Aro better though...

satin would look good with a dark car:

I like the HRE's

6-spoke design in HRE's new lightweight forged competition series. Availalble in 17, 18, and 19" diameters in a standard rim configuration. All HRE competition series wheels are weight optimized for each application, and feature 6061-T6 forged centers with titanium rim fasteners

I've heard some less-than-complimentary things about HREs...
