964 with fuchs
Hi all, I have a 964 bodied SC and was looking for a picture with this type with fuchs. Any one have this set up? Thanks, Temo.

I don't think Fuchs fit 964s originally, so unless there's someone out there with your same setup (964-bodied SC or Carrera), you're out of luck.

It's not a dumb idea. I'd like to see it. But like Mike says, you'll only see it on re-bodied 65-89 cars, because of the different hubs on the earlier cars.

The Fuchs will not fit the 964 bodies. They have the wrong backspacing and would stick outside the fenders. You would look like some of the Mexicans I see cruising around TX.
If you wanted that look you have two options. 1) custom welded 17" Fuchs with the correct offset 2) HRE makes a Fuchs-like wheel. I think they offer it in the correct offest. I think a 964 with a ducktail and Fuchs would rock!

Of course, since your car is an SC, the Fuchs will fit without sticking out of the fenders. I think it'll look fine. A Picture would be nice though. Or possibly someone could photoshop some.

Looks darn good, I think. The more modern rims look good, but it's hard to beat a classic like Fuchs.

I think a 964 with Fuchs would be a tricky line to walk. It may end up looking like a half finished update project like mentioned before.
I really like the pic of that Cobalt Blue 964 that's slammed, with a ducktail and white Carrera RS graphics and cup wheels. I think it would look better to paint the centers of the cup wheels to the same color as the stripes, and polish the outer lips to mimic the Fuchs on an RS. That would give it an 'homage look, rather than a clone wannabe look.
