Cant snap on Windshield wipers

Yeah im a real mechanical dunce.

I have a new Bosch windhield wiper blade and I cannot for the life of me figure out how it snaps onto the wiper arm. Ive now grown tired of simply staring at it (Boschs website was no help).

thanks for any quicktips or pointing me in the right direction

-Matt

I just did mine last month.

The first old wiper would not come off, channel locks, plyers and a screwdriver attacked and destroyed it. Then it became clear and I simply spread, pulled up and gently removed the second one. Once you figure how they come off, getting the new ones on is a no brainer.

Imagine the wiper stem, at the end it does a 180 degree bend (down) creating a "U" shaped loop. The new blade assemebly gets pressure fitted into that loop.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but I have no picture. Good luck.

Wiper install

Hey Matt, wipers can be tricky, first position the blade as in pic #1 and 1a, then slide it into the arm as in pic 2. The trick is to slide the arm through the blade in the slot above the plastic piece then into it.

Matt,
The end of the wiper arm has a 180% bend in it that makes a loop like a U shape. This is were the wiper is fastened.
There should be a little tab were the wiper connects to the arm that you push to release the wiper, at the same time you want to push the wiper out of the loop. You'll be pushing to the center of the car.

There sould be some extra plastic adapters that came with the new blade. Use the one that matches the old one.

This is like cheating on a test.

I bet that I had more fun destroying my old pair in the process.
