Yet another headlight question
I've searched the archives, but I can't find anything definitive on this. I recently bought a 1989 coupe, and apparently one of the headlights has been replaced at some point (one of them is pitted, the other is clear). I assume I have H5s, but shouldn't H5 be stamped somewhere on the lens? The headlights appear pretty identical, except the newer-appearing lens has HB1 stamped on it. What is HB1?

HB1 and 9004 are designations for the replacement bulbs that fit your H5 assembly ... Halogen Bulb 1 ... the plastic base wonder!!!
