Jack & Tyson mentioned in HOT ROD
Well, perhaps not the glory of GQ or EXCELLENCE, but you can betcher donkey that HOT ROD has more circulation than either. HOT ROD did a feature on the open track challenge, featuring a pair of Texas guys, Adam Ginsberg and Lewis Tanner, in a "low-buck" Mustang. October issue. Jack & Tyson (barely) mentioned in the article. It must have hurt, having Japanese & German Iron beat out the V-8's...

I've been known to browse Car Craft, myself. When I was growing up, "sports car" meant Camaro or Mustang, not them funny-lookin' furrin cars.

If I wasn't too big for one, a chopped deuce coupe would have been in my garage instead of a '72 911S..

Did'nt they go up against a viper and win? I would say that a viper is still pretty much a hot rod that handles damn well.

Tyson, me, Joe Herrera and James (MJShira) all just had an impromptu dinner, and I ducked around the corner to get a copy. It was nice to see our names in print.
![]() Yes, we beat Terry Rossi in his Viper. He's in the top handful of Viper racers in the country, and his car is faster at most tracks than us. But we edged him out in the OTC, thanks to five consistent finishes. The HOT ROD article identifies a grey Viper as Rossi's, when in fact it's John Dearing's. Dearing is also a very fast Viper driver. He finished second overall in the unlimited class.

I've subscribed to Hot Rod since 76'. It was my first magazine that I started in first grade. I also keep it for a quick read and my "auto roots".
No pictures of your car, Jack? What is the world coming to?

Theres a LOT of cool stuff going on in the rod world!! Some of the "rat rods" are real throwbacks. Pure..gotta love that. ANd have you seen what the Moals have been making?? It's like the best of the hot rod/italian/racing and design worlds all wrapped up in one car.
Nice job guys! You taking care of our boy James????
