Keeping injection clean with 2-stroke oil?

On another (French) Porsche site, there is mention of a recommendation to mix "half a glass of go-kart oil mixture in a full tank of gas".

It is said to be an old Porsche mechanic's trick, and would be absolutely perfect: would clean the injectors, would keep them clean, would lubrify them, as well as the valve stems... Several posters there confirm they do it all the time, and that it works very well, much less "aggressive" than the usual Wynn's and other additives...

Has any one ever heard of this? What, exactly then, is "kart oil mixture"? What are major brands there?

Thanks!

I think cart oil mix would be 2 cycle oil & gas. it might clean the injectors, but I don't think your spark plugs will like the mix. Craig

Paul....Don't know if Chevron Techron is available in Belgium, but that's what cleans the injection system the best.

Two words: Ventil Sauber. It works.

Sounds like the old trick of using Marvel Mystery Oil to clean the carb and heads in my `67 Chevelle Super Sport. I have a feeling that this is like using a sledge hammer to fine tune a swiss watch. Stick with Techtron since it is what Porsche reccommends.

My neighbor keeps telling me to do this. He's worked on plenty of non porsche CIS injection systems over the last 25 years...
