I know everyone has their opinions about whether or not KN filters suck or not....but Im trying to sell my 1988 911 (which had the KN when I bought it 1 1/2 yers ago) and the smog shop wouldnt pass it now!
Any other Cali folks run into this issue in the last few months? All help/advice welcome, thanks.

there should be a lable on the K&N box that either lists the C.A.R.B. approval or states that this product is legal only for off highway use, or something like that.
$17.50 will get you a new stock filter from our host.

I think I get you now....Do you have a cone filter attached in place of your original air box? thats a different problem. I'd hit the classifieds board looking for a filter housing.

The entire box setup cost about $200 Find one on e-bay or borrow one for the day with the smog nazi.
