The old somthings gotta go post

I'm planning on early retiring next year and I have to cut back on some vehicles. Im going to keep one jeep for the wife to go to work in and for trips. Im going to keep one 911 for me.

I don't know which one I'll keep. I have a 72S targa and a 73T coupe. I'll probably keep the S but who knows.

Im just throwing this out there in case anyone may be interested in an early car. The coupe is getting ready for paint and misc. It will be done next spring.

I'm thinking around 20K for the S and 10K for the coupe. The S looks very good and has Sport Seats. The T will look good when Im done with it.

Does these prices seem inline. Which do you think would be easier to sell?

It's all about condition-condition-condition as far as price goes.
Both desireable cars, so you should have no problems selling either. The T coupe would be great for someone looking for a hot rod 911 project, and the S Targa? Well, it's an "S"...in the '72 model year, only 983 "S" Targas were produced...worldwide.

Keep the S Targa...rare, desirable, possibly irreplaceable. If it's original and sharp I think it would go for at least $25K, but even then I'd be hesitant to sell it.

But if you need the cash and get *almost* as much pleasure driving the T, then sell the S.

Most likely I'll keep the S. The only problem with it is the engine is not original. It has a original 73S motor. That is why I was thinking 20K intead of 25K.

Both cars have unknown miles.
