74 front fender mounting

Guys,

I am at the reassembly stage on my 74 resto project and have some questions. When I removed the fenders, there was a grey putty tape kinda stuff that I had to scrape off. It was all along where the fender mounted to the body.I can't seem to find it in our hosts catalog. Anyone know what it's called and is that still the best thing to use?

Next... there are small black plastic welt strips (called fender-to-cowl strips) where the fender meets the cowl on each side, part #A-503-394-22 and part#C-799-503-07. They are different widths in the catalog. Which was stock for the euro 74 911S coup?

Thanks Again...
