Long Nose Transplant

What are the major obstacles to take a '69-73 roller and transplant everything from a 3.2 over? I'm talking engine, tranny, suspension, steering etc.

Depending on the year...

Assuming its a 915 Carrera and not a G50 car its really easy. The hardest part will be moving the wiring for the Motronic system. Everything is pretty much bolt-on with respect to all suspension and brakes.

If the car is 71-earlier you will need to update the oil tank or the engine oil cooler. 69 would not be the easiest year since it lacks the same 14pin connector for the engine as the 70+ cars have.

So the full suspension should just bolt in and if it's a 915 car the engine and tranny will do the same as well. The DME wiring or car wiring harness is the biggest obstacle then. I'd love to hear from someone who's done it.
