Hi,
Joe, Mark, Rick and others, I will take a driving course at Thunder Hill race track soon. Two weeks ago, in fact my brother in law, my sister, and I were driving across the bay bridge to take the Porsche for a night drive through San Francisco. Some guys in a (1998 ?) Pontaic Firebird Trans Am wanted to race us. My brother in law and I gave them a visual "no" and they stopped revving their car. Thanks for the advice. I will never race or impress in my Porsche. I hear all kinds of horrible stories on the news like that each day. Thanks for the advice though.
By the way what does l....o....r...e....n stand for?

Here is a pic of the engine bay with the 3.0:

Sorry, I was channeling Loren for a minute.

Loren is better known as the Chip Nazi.

Spend a few minutes searching the archives of this board concerning Performance Chips and you will understand.

Priceless! LOL

Looks as though like me Matt, you have got to set aside some time time to clean up that motor!

I just can't get motivated to do it atm. (sigh)

Hi,
Mark, so far I have bought some degreaser, and cleaned most of the engine bay last weekend. My dad and I will probably finish up this weekend. By the way, my Dad and I were jacking up the car yesterday to add some fender trim between the bumper and the fender, and I noticed that there was screw in the tire!!!:( We partially pulled it out, and we are taking the tire to Big O Tires to have them pull it out and fix it. The tire is now completly flat (the air seeped out of it last night). What an unpleasant surprise!

Id get a new tire if I were you... an improperly patched rear tire can result in slightly more than an "unpleasant surprise" should it blow out on the road.
