I'll try to make it Saturday morning as well.
As Chris mentioned, my car is in the body shop. My next door neighbor pulled out of his driveway and hit my door as I was heading down the street. The shop said three days for repair. It should be done by Friday evening but you know how these things can drag. This door dent is why I did not make it to the GGR Autocross last Saturday. Sorry you brought my ball joint socket for nothing Toby. Call me vain but I just did not feel AX'ing my car while it had a dent in the door.

brad no problem at all in bringing the socket and you taking the day off from fun and games. vain nothing, i would be sickened too, and have a hard time being too enthused for a car event. just glad that was the extent, having not heard from you around here was puzzling.

brad if your cars not done and still feel like riding along we will meet at my house around 815 (dam early for a saturday i know, but there are all these early risers that have called the shot) i, or others can pass you around like a drunk girl at a frat party for ride alongs.

either way i will bring your socket for the hand off. if not i will have to get it to you in the new couple weeks.

K Roman, I agree. Last weekend I was on the freeway early headed to Sebastapol through the city and I hauled ass all morning. It was great.

Great roads out of Sebastopol. But never been on Mines.

from what the K-MAN has approved it is the parking lot just north of the 3-way concannon and so. livermore/tesla intersection (the road changes at that intersection from so livermore to the north, to tesla to the south). It is a park apparently with baseball fields.

for you guys that have come from fremont with the group in the past you will recall a 3-way intersection that we go right at about a mile or so before we hit mines. well if i am reading things right from earlier in the post it would be a left there onto so livermore, heading north, and the lot should be on the right?? someone in the know please confirm or refute??

my house at 815 for some, is anyone going to be in fremont at the mohave 7-11? please confirm attendence so we know to wait at each local. people we were not sure about have been left in the past if running behind the group.

also if you have one of those motorolla type walkie talkies bring it. we chat about things on the road, bikes, oncoming traffic, hot chick hitch hiking and the like.

Yes make a left onto S. Livermore, but then you make a LEFT into the parking lot for the baseball diamonds, you can see the ball fields on your left when you are on Concannon approaching S. Livermore/Tesla intersection.

Unfortunately I probably won't make it, my wife and I just had our second daughter on Tuesday 9/14, not the best Porsche date for a 911 guy, but a Porsche date none the less :D

I think my next oppertunity for car fun will be the 10/9 autox in Alameda.

its really not that much of a big deal. mines is kinda tight, and you really have to be bunched up to get other cars in the shot. bunched up is not the safest way to go.

but i will be filming and will copy as mentioned above.

Can anyone post a mapquest driving directions or map from San Jose area. Not exactly sure where we are all meeting at. Can't locate So. Livermore andTesla on mapquest. An address of the parking lot might work too.

76, it would be tesla and mines for a map quest search. are you familiar with the 7-11 on mission blvd and mohave, between 880 and 680 in fremont? we can stop by there on our way out and grab you at say, 830-845? just a thought.

cbeers, dont let toby fool you. on one time at mines road, when i was a passenger, we were packed tight. i was constantly tossing pebbles out of my lap. i was scared S-less. very fun tho.
