964 decklidinstall question

I recently purchased a 964 decklid (thanks Jack) and have set up the wiring. The only thing is that it doesnt work. I have power to the switch and through it. The ground is good. The line to the tail is plugged in correctly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

James

If the decklid is on your '72, then you might want to check out
http://66.34.72.138/howto/c2-lid/index.html
There are great wiring diagrams there for the lid conversion.
If it is a 964 lid, on a 964, then ???

Well according to the diagram (I have a 964 lid, but it is not electrical connected yet), you should be able to put 12vdc power to the green and blue wires from the lid motor, and depending on the way you hook'em up, it should drive it open or close. If that works, I would ring-out the two micro-switches on your lid, to makes sure they are working correctly. And of course the door (well now a lid spoiler) switch. You could also leave the micro-switches out of the circuit for troubleshooting, but be sure to be able to cut power to stop the motor travel. Maybe a simple SPST switch in the incoming power. Also you can disconnect the cable from the motor to the spoiler/wing, to safe guard against over-travel, and reduce the variables, by one.
Good luck. Holler if you have success, or more questions. YMMV

thanks Mark! I am on a business trip, once I get back to Scruffy I will test that and let you know, much appreciated.
