i just drove my 911 thru a puddle of crap.

going to the gym, using my shortcut to safe parking (in back). i have to go through this alley. when i got there, halfway down was a shallow puddle. about an inch deep. i contemplating backing back out of the alley, since it is too narrow to flip a u-turn. so i eased into the "juice". halfway across it, i smell the odor! i almost gagged,....

when i finally finished my workout, my car still stunk. even driving home i got some strange looks. i hosed it off, but i am thinking some type of cleaner at this point....oh the agony. on the bright side, i am glad i didnt drive the 4x4, i would have blasted through!

Which gym?

My suggestion is to take it to a carwash where they do an undercarriage wash.

When I was young and dumb, an entire truck load of tomatoes was dumped in an intersection. All the cars just sat there afraid to drive through them. I drove into the middle, and did a doughnut, slinging tomatoes everywhere. Maybe you could have tryed that in the poo.

Same thing happened to me on the way back from getting my 82SC wet sanded. The car looked perfect, but smelled like $hit.

Course, I was in Mexico...

ewwww. mexico schit is worse....

gar, i got a backup gym membership at the fitness 19 off of ignation valley road. cheap as hell, and works great if i cannot make it to gold's gym near my office in the city. bonus is: more hot women and less gay men. i still cant get used to two naked men hugging. and i am open-minded as hell!

midlife, that is funny, but tomatoes are acidic. i am sure the ph of schit is wacked too

Oh man, I have done that in a 4x4. Hauled a$$ through a big puddle behind (and this is the worst part) a bowling alley. I should have known better! It was a broken sewer that must have been there for days, cause all the dirt had turned to mud.... ended up going through a car wash (bought the $10 wash with the jets to wash under the car).

how cheap is it, what are the hours, and...

*mandatory Porsche content*

are Porsches commonplace there?

I've only seen one other person at 24Hr Fitness at Sun Valley Mall with a 911.

You should always report these -- in writing if you can. This is a serious health hazard and a very very clear legal violation. The city needs to fix their sewer mains if it's them. If it's a business, then the city needs to make sure they clean it up and fix the problem on their end.

I have several friends in the "law enforcement" business on pollution. (Done by public interest lawyers, and -- rarely -- by EPA or state pollustion agencies). They have had experts tell them that while most people will only get sick, some may die from this sort of thing.

That exact thing happened to a friend of mine. He couldn't get rid of the smell. He tried and tried, even buying a Sharper Image $369 ionizer. He ended up selling the car at about 20% below wholesale to get it out of his life.
