What is this Paint color code?

I recently purchased a '85 Euro Carrera and can't find the name for the paint color. The color code is " L 999 ".

It's an unusual metalic blue.

You can see the car in the old ebay ad #2489003510.

Thank you for your help.

John,

'999' has been the factory code for 'paint to sample' since 1972 models commenced production ... in other words, a custom ordered car where the customer provided the paint sample, and the car was painted to mach sample!

John,

You might want to call PCNA and see if the Kardex - 'Certificate of Authenticity' contains any special info for matching paint code '999' cars ... and be sure to indicate tyhat the car is a ROW model!
